Order from the german Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt) - REFOPLAN

ete.a Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH has been awarded the contract for the project “Innovative technologies: improving resource and energy efficiency in thermal waste treatment” by the Federal Environment Agency as part of the Federal Environment Ministry’s departmental research plan (REFOPLAN).

This project refers to the further development of thermal waste treatment in the context of future requirements for resource and climate protection, as well as technical developments for more resource-saving and energy-efficient concepts. Efficient exhaust gas purification processes, heat transfer systems and innovative technologies such as the oxyfuel process are among the chosen options.

The project is managed organizationally and administratively by ete.a Ingenieurgesellschaft für Energie- und Umweltengineering & Beratung mbH, represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rudi Karpf. The internal technical management of the project is the responsibility of the subcontractor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Quicker. The technical processing is carried out by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rudi Karpf, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Quicker, the teaching and research area of thermal processes and emission reduction in the waste disposal and recycling industry at RWTH Aachen, the Sulzbach-Rosenberg branch of the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, Martin GmbH for environmental and energy technology, GKS Schweinfurt and EEW Energy from Waste GmbH.
